8 weeks pregnant but measuring 6 weeks, no heartbeat

I went in for my 8 week scan yesterday and after doing an internal ultrasound my obstetrician told me I am measuring at 6+2 weeks and she couldn't see a heartbeat (which is apparently quite normal for 6 weeks) I was certain I was 8+4 weeks according to my dates and first positive pregnancy tests. My hgc levels were 14000 on Tuesday and 15560 on Wednesday so they did go up. I had a miscarriage about a year ago. At 5 weeks your OB 'should' be able to see the heartbeat - my OB does a sono at 5 weeks to confirm viability.
